Breaking news: Man Utd 'open talks' with Declan Rice and Pogba alternative as club director spotted at Old Trafford
According to rumors, Manchester United
has 'already spoken' to AS Monaco midfielder
Aurelien Tchouameni regarding a possible
summer transfer. Last week, Monaco sporting
director Paul Mitchell was seen visiting
Old Trafford with interim Manchester
United manager Ralf Rangnick.
During a crowded transfer window this
summer, United are anticipated to make adding
a new defensive midfielder a priority.
Rangnick's existing holding players, Fred
and Scott McTominay, turn 34 in August,
and Nemanja Matic is the only natural holding
player among Rangnick's present possibilities.
Declan Rice, the co-captain of West Ham
United, has been touted as a top target, although
United would have to pay at least £100
million to entice him away from the
east London club.
As a result, on many levels, this is a
viable alternative.
