Maguire has responded angrily to suggestions

 that he may lose his captaincy to Cristiano 

Ronaldo for the time being. Since Ashley 

Young's transfer to Inter Milan in January 

2020, the England international has worn 

the armband. However, there have been 

rumors that he is willing to give it up 

to help him recapture his finest form. 


Recently, there have been rumors that 

Ronaldo could usurp Maguire's armband. 


It was reported that the England international

 was hesitant to do so, but manager Ralf 

Rangnick thought it would be a good idea

 to help get the centre-back back to his best. 


Maguire, on the other hand, has gone out 

and disputed those reports, effectively 

putting an end to any notion of a dressing room.
