Breaking news: Referee confirmed for Manchester derby between Man United and Man City

 



Michael Oliver has been named as the 

official referee for this weekend's Manchester

 derby.



Manchester United will go across town to 

play Manchester City on Sunday, hoping to 

get back on track after a goalless draw with 

Watford on Saturday. 


While United has more than a week to 

prepare for the encounter, City must first deal

 with their FA Cup fourth-round tie against

 Peterborough United on Tuesday before 

focusing on the derby.

 According to Gazzetta dello Sport ( Monday's edition, page 19), Manchester  United are interested in signing Napoli  attacker Victor Osimhen this summer.  Last season, the Nigerian joined the Serie  A club from Lille for a club-record £58. 5 million cost, but he struggled to make  an impact, scoring just 10 goals in all  competitions.  He was limited by a shoulder ailment . With a cheekbone fracture this season,  he's had a similar situation, but his form has  been significantly better, with 15 goals  in only 25 games.  The 23-year-old has lately reached his peak  form, scoring back-to-back braces, and  he is reportedly attracting a lot of Premier  League transfer interest.  Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle  United have all been connected with the  player, but United is also keeping an eye on him.
