Confirmed: Boost for Manchester United in signing chase – Player makes decision, and it favours Red Devils
The 26-year-current old's contract expires
in 2023, and Bild published a report
on Wednesday that will pique the interest
of any Red Devils.
Sebastian Kehl and Michael Zorc of
BVB sought to keep the Switzerland international
at the club after his current contract expired.
To do so, they offered an offer that included
an annual salary of €8 million, which the
player turned down. The German club
made a better offer to the centre-back,
but he'rejected' it.
'His interest in a contract extension
at Dortmund has faded,' according to Bild,
and he would prefer a move to the Premier
League, where Manchester United has'shown
an interest' in signing him.
