Confirmed : Man United star ‘very close’ to signing huge five-year renewal – Contacts with agent ‘intensified’
According to today's edition of O Jogo
, the player is "extremely close" to reaching
an agreement with the Red Devils for
a contract extension that will last until 2027.
Contacts between Manchester United's board
of directors and agent Miguel Pinho have
reportedly become more regular and
'intensified' recently, and the agreement
is now 'nearly certain' to be inked.
According to O Jogo, Fernandes will
now earn between €14 million and €15
million per season. That will put him on
par with Paul Pogba, but much behind
Cristiano Ronaldo, who makes €20
million per year.
Manchester United's goal, according
to reports, is to make Bruno Fernandes "
a reference inside the club" in addition
to repelling interest from other clubs.
Meanwhile, O Jogo adds that the
midfielder 'continues to think' that the Reds
will win the Premier League.
