Confirmed : Manchester United enter race to sign 21 year old Spanish defender .

 

Sergio Gomez is reportedly becoming 

one of Europe's most in-demand players, 

according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited

 by Sport Witness. The RSC Anderlecht 

teenager has been causing a stir in Belgium

, and he might trigger a summer transfer

 battle between Manchester United 

and Inter Milan. 

According to the report, both teams are

 keeping a close eye on the Spaniard's remarkable

 performances in Belgium's top division.

 He has been identified as a long-term replacement

 for Ivan Perisic by Inter Milan in particular

. After proving to be a valuable servant 

for the club over the years, the Croatian 

veteran could leave at the end of the season.
