Confirmed : Manchester United have finally stripped Harry maguire of captaincy and new captain reveal ,this happened after his former team mate said this .

Elmohamady has pushed Manchester United

 to remove Harry Maguire's captaincy from

 his former Hull City teammate. 

Maguire, 29, has had a terrible season and 

had another bad appearance on Saturday 

evening when he scored a disastrous own

 goal in a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur

. The captaincy problem has been addressed

 at Old Trafford throughout the season, 

with several analysts demanding Maguire

 be relieved of his duties. 

Elmohamady, a former Hull teammate, 

has now weighed in on the controversy, 

explaining why he does not believe Maguire

 should continue as United captain. 

"Harry was with me at Hull City, and 

in my opinion, he doesn't have the level to 

be the captain of Manchester United," he says.
