Manchester United report: Senior players have decided their favoured candidate to be manager
Manchester United players prefer
Mauricio Pochettino of PSG to Erik Ten
Hag of Ajax as manager.
Pochettino has had a terrible week after
watching his Paris Saint-Germain side crash
out of the Champions League last-16 after
being 2-0 up in the encounter against
Real Madrid. Despite his failure, he
remains the favorite to replace Sir
Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
Ralf Rangnick is serving as interim
commander and will leave at the end of
the current campaign to work as a consultant.
Though Pochettino's only major trophy is
PSG's Coupe de France from last season,
the 50-year-old had an immediate impact
in the Premier League, first with Southampton
and then with Tottenham Hotspur, establishing
the Lilywhites as a big six club and leading
them to a Premier League title.
