Confirmed: Robin van Persie’s excitement over Man Utd return makes Old Trafford appointment possible
Manchester United could invite Robin
van Persie back to Old Trafford to
work with Erik ten Hag, according to reports
earlier this week. To reconcile their shattered
dressing room, the Red Devils are reportedly
interested in bringing in a Dutch coach
who previously played for the club. And
the retiring striker has previously stated
that he would welcome the opportunity
to return.
Manchester United recruited Robin van
Persie in the summer of 2012, after the
Dutchman left Arsenal and turned down
Manchester City's approaches in order
to join Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
And he had an immediate impact, scoring
30 goals in all competitions to help United
win the Premier League.
No United player has ever amassed more
points in a single season.
