Erik ten Haag has earmarked fellow  Dutchman Robin van Persie about  returning to Manchester United  as part of his backroom staff. Ten Haag, 52, is already preparing  for life at Old Trafford should United  chiefs decide to appoint him as their  new manager. The Ajax boss is understood to  be keen on taking Van Persie with  him to Manchester, with initial talks  said to be ongoing. During his time with the Red Devils,  Van Persie netted 26 goals at the  club and won the Golden Boot in  2013, when United last won the Premier  League under Sir Alex Ferguson. Van Persie is currently taking his coaching  badges and working with Feyenoord's  Under-16 side, coaching his son Shaqueel. But the ex-Manchester United striker  is keen on a return to the Premier League  should Ten Hag take the reins at Old  Trafford. Confirmed : Antony comments suggest Man Utd reunion with Erik ten Hag would be no problem

If Erik ten Hag is appointed as Manchester  United's new manager, he is expected to  sign Antony from Ajax. The Red Devils  are on the market for a new manager, and  the Dutchman is presently the favorite  to take over. And his Brazilian's earlier  words suggest that a reunion between the  two at Old Trafford is a distinct possibility.  As the summer transfer window approaches , the futures of numerous Manchester  United forwards are in doubt.  Both Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard's  contracts are set to expire at the end of  the season, thus they are likely to go  for nothing.  There are also doubts about Anthony Martial  and Marcus Rashford, with neither player  able to reach their full potential after  the World Cup.

Confirmed: Man Utd player ratings of the season so far - De Gea shines but Maguire is poor

David de Gea His best season at United since 2017-18 and, like that campaign, it is likely to be recognised with an unprecedented fifth Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award. De Gea has produced several matchwinning performances but, like some teammates, is now spending international fortnights at Carrington. 8 Dean Henderson Contracting Covid-19 in July and De Gea's resurgence effectively wrote off Henderson's season. He has had three starts and all of them were in United's least significant games. A poor penalty shootout contributed to Middlesbrough's win in the fourth round of the FA Cup. 5 Aaron Wan-Bissaka Whether it is defending at the far post, pressing or crossing, Wan-Bissaka is worst-in-class. Whereas his subdued second season had flickers of life, his third has been lifeless and he lost his place not long after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked. Solskjaer looked to replace Wan-Bissaka with Kieran Trippier in the summer and must wish he had. 2 Diogo Dalot Ha
